Consultations with Ellie

I provide a free 30-minute phone or video consultation prior to your first appointment. During this call, we’ll get to know each other and briefly discuss your concerns to ensure that I’m the right provider for you and your needs. Consultations are a perfect time for you to ask any questions that you might have about Rosewater Counseling & Wellness, the counseling process in general, or me, your therapist.

If we find we’re not a good fit, I’ll be happy to help you with referrals to other counselors or clinics—I want you to get the care that you deserve, even if its not with me.

Important Note: If you would like to submit a claim through an insurance provider we are not paneled with, we can provide you with a receipt for services that includes all necessary information required to file for possible reimbursement with your insurance carrier upon request (superbill). We encourage you to check with your insurance provider directly to understand your specific coverage as your reimbursement rate will vary depending upon your insurance provider. We are not able to guarantee reimbursement. Keep in mind that your insurance carrier will not process your claim/superbill without a diagnosis of a mental disorder, which will be placed in your and/or your child’s permanent mental health record.

Insurance

Ellie generally accepts United Health/UMR/Oscar plans and Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) plans.

Rosewater Counseling & Wellness recommends asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?

  • Does my plan cover telehealth?

  • What is my copay for telehealth services?

  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

Schedule your free consultation and let your counselor know if you are interested in using your insurance benefits or need help verifying your coverage.

Important Note: Insurance companies typically require a mental health diagnosis be rendered for treatment; these diagnoses, along with other information that insurance companies require clinicians to provide, are placed in you and/or your child’s permanent mental health records. Rosewater Counseling & Wellness PLLC has no control over how this information may be managed in the future by your insurance provider.
